Twangfest 17 kicks off Wednesday, June 5 at Plush and you can see the complete lineup and get your tickets online. On Thursday June 6, Joe Pug, Motel Mirrors (featuring Amy LaVere and John Paul Keith), Shivering Timbers and Scarlet Tanager take over the Blueberry essay writing Hill Duck Room.
That's a show you don't want to miss: all you have to do now is Put a Pug On It -- print out a picture of any pug dog from the internet and put it on something fun. Or, if you have a pug dog, put your doggie on something and take a picture (that's right: exploit your animal's cuteness for Internet gain).
Put a pug on a big rug. Put a pug on your sleeping grandfather. Put a pug on a thug and make them cute. Whatever it is, just put a pug on it. This contest ends at 1 p.m. Central Standard Time on Monday, June 3, so there's no time to waste! Two (2) winners and their guest will win tickets and attend the show!
Reminder: This contest is for tickets to just the Thursday, June 6 Twangfest show at the Duck Room.
Upload your picture in the comments below. Now, here are the oh-so-simple rules:
1. PLEASE give us some way to contact you in the Disqus comments field. Can't say this enough: if you win, and we can't get ahold of you, that's no good at all. There are a few easy ways to do this. You can click "Login" to Disqus near the comment field and login via any of the options (Facebook, Google, etc.). Alternately, leave your email address in your comment in an "Joe Blow AT email.com" format if you'd like (to avoid evil spam crawling internet bots).
2. This contest runs from now until Monday, June 3 at 1 p.m. CST. Winners will be contacted via Disqus or a your provided email shortly after.
3. Enter as many times as you'd like, but only one picture entry will be eligible.
4. Don't put a picture of a pug dog on anything illegal, permanent or super-obscene. Don't vandalize anything. Don't put yourself and/or any actual dogs in danger in order to win this contest. Yes, we actually had to type that.
Here are some examples to get you started, but be as creative as you can!
