KDHX is heavily run by volunteers. Volunteers work as programmers, producers, crew members, script writers, clerical workers, and much more. The goal of this department is to recruit, train, and retain our volunteers. The biggest projects for this department are the two annual membership drives where we need over 100 volunteers in 10 days.

The KDHX Volunteer Coordinator intern assists the Volunteer Coordinator in developing and writing a volunteer newsletter as well as assisting in coordinating volunteers for KDHX events. This internship position will assist in marketing events, positions, opportunities and parties to the KDHX volunteers.

Location: KDHX (3504 Magnolia)

Supervised by: Scott Bahan, Volunteer Coordinator

Tasks Performed:

  • Write and create the volunteer newsletter
  • Assist in marketing for volunteer positions, fundraising events, appreciation parties and community events
  • Organizing and implementing the Street Team and the Event Team
  • Support staff with mailings, membership drive, special events and other projects
  • Assist and help to manage volunteers for events

Time Commitment: Minimum of 16-20 hours per week.

Qualifications: Research skills, Writing skills, Excel and Word Proficiency
