KDHX TV

A look back...

For more than 25 years, Double Helix Corporation has provided the community and public access television services for the City of Saint Louis through cable franchise legislation which required that the company providing cable services in the City provide the funding and channels for Double Helix to provide these services. During that time, Double Helix provided the tools, technology and training for the citizens of of Saint Louis City to tell their own stories and show them on cable television.

Several years ago, the State of Missouri passed state-wide video provider legislation that sunset all existing cable agreements on December 31, 2011. That meant that local cable and video providers are no longer required to provide funding or channels for public and community access television operations. Double Helix stopped providing these services at that time.

A few programs are still in production and available online:

Thank you to all of the volunteers and contributing organizations for making these programs available for our community. We are proud of the service that we provided over the past 25 years and look forward to a bright future of building community through media at 88.1 KDHX, KDHX.org and our Media Arts operations.
