Media Training FAQ

For more information about Media Training programs, read these frequently asked questions.

How To Enroll



1.) Register to attend an Orientation Session.
You can do this by registering online at kdhx.org, or by calling 314.827.6155.

2.) Become a member at the $25 level or higher.
This can also be done online or by coming into either of our Euclid or Magnolia faciities.

3.) Complete a class registration form and submit course fees.
To register for a class, please stop by our TV station at 625 N. Euclid, Monday-Friday from 10 AM-5 PM. You'll need to fill out a short enrollment form and submit your fees (cash, check, or charge). For most classes, you must enroll 3-5 days in advance of the class and you must check to make sure you have all our pre-requisites and fees submitted (including completed orientation and current KDHX membership). If there is any problem with your registration, we will inform you as soon as possible.

4.) Come to class, learn and have a great time.

5.) Take another class or apply to become a video or audio volunteer for KDHX.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I test out of a pre-requisite?


In most cases, if you can provide us with a reel of your work and you have similar class experience or knowledge, we can let you bypass the pre-requisite. This must be arranged prior to your enrollment.

Why do I need to become a member to take classes?


KDHX membership helps subsidize our TV and radio stations, as well as our facilities and our equipment. In order for us to continue to provide low-cost media education, we must rely upon the support of our members.

Can I pay online?


You can become a member online, but at this time, you can only pay class fees in person at our TV station or through the mail. We accept credit cards, check, or cash.

I'd like to become a volunteer after I complete my class. What do I do?

I missed my class; can I get a refund?


KDHX is not able to refund any course fees for missed classes/absences. Refunds will only be given if a class does not make due to low enrollment or if KDHX must cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances.
