KDHX is located in the Larry J. Weir Center for Independent Media in the Grand Center Arts District. The Larry J. Weir Center houses the broadcast facilities for 88.1 KDHX, as well as the Magnolia Café and The Stage at KDHX. It also contains the offices where we run KDHX.org and the Folk School (whose classes take place just down the street at 3323 Washington Avenue).
Here are some common questions about our facility.
Q: What's the deal with the Magnolia Café? I can’t wait to check it out!
A: The café is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cafe is also open for all KDHX events at The Stage.
Magnolia Cafe serves coffee, snacks and smoothies and features weekly lunch specials. Additionally, a full bar with many local selections. The wi-fi is free, so stick around if you have time, or grab one of our to-go lunches.
Q: I’ve got my coffee from the café, and I can’t wait to see The Stage at KDHX. What’s going on there, and when?
A: The Stage at KDHX, also located inside the Larry J. Weir Center, will feature films and concerts, as well as other educational and community events. For the full schedule and details, visit the KDHX events page.
Q: Where can I park to visit the Magnolia Café or for events at The Stage?
A: There’s adequate café parking on the east side of the Larry J. Weir Center, as well as plenty of surface lots and metered parking in Grand Center.
