Inside KDHX


The Chief Engagement Officers creates opportunities for growth through connection. The Engagement Officer collaborates with St. Louis organizations, institutions, and catalysts to identify potential relationships; develops and coordinates community-centered, strategic partnerships that reach and serve new and current audiences; and works with the executive team to leverage the current platforms of The Stage, Folk School, and café space to craft programming that furthers the KDHX mission to build community through media.


  • Experience developing community partnerships and working collaboratively.

  • Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with multiple levels of stakeholders (staff, volunteers, listeners, partners, etc.)

40% Cultivate and grow current and new KDHX community partnerships:

  • Craft collaborative programming with new partners

  • Refine and maintain current partnerships

  • Identify and evaluate partnership outcomes

  • Coordinate Media Sponsorship program

25% Develop and oversee event programming to reflect KDHX values:

  • Direct programming at The Stage, KDHXFest, Folk & Roots Fest, and partnered events

  • Track events revenue and evaluate overall value to organization

  • Balance overall calendar of events to insure proper management of resources, variety, and audience appeal

15% Folk School programming and oversight:

  • Coordinate with Media Department to promote

  • Work with Folk School Program Coordinator to guide programming

  • Convey information to Folk School students and instructors

  • Partnerships and outreach specific to Folk School

10% Communications

  • Inform current audiences of engagement opportunities

  • Fan Club and other newsletters

  • Articulate KDHX activities and ethos to engaged listeners and community partners

5% Cafe oversight

  • Supervise café managers

  • Liaise with café partner (Squatter’s Café)

  • Analyse revenue reports to inform decisions
