From John Wendland

There is such a deluge of music that comes out every year. Suffice it to say I only hear a really small portion of it and I know I'm leaving out so much unheard and worthy music and that some of it (both from 2019 and from further back) will be discovered  later. That's fine with me. That's what keeps life interesting. The whole discovery part. My only criteria for trying to compile a list of this sort is asking myself what do I think I will be still happy to hear 10 years from now.  That said, I'm hating to compile a top 10 album list of 2019 that leaves off releases by Comet Gain, North Mississippi Allstars, Tonina, and Karine Polwart (among others) because those albums all meet the aforementioned criteria. Happy listening!
