This presentation explores the pivotal year of 1968 in Jamaica, where a new music was taking over: reggae. KDHX DJs Ital-K and Michael Kuelker will discuss reggae from the roots to the fruits, focusing on 1968 as a year of musical birth and cultural ferment. Big steaming portions of funky reggae will be served from seven-inch platters. Brought to you by KDHX, the Folk School and St. Louis County Library as part of the library's Black History Celebration.
