Description

Based in Chicago, the Brad Macdonald Trio is a piano trio with a diverse sound, paying tribute to such artists as Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Bill Withers, and Ray Charles. They also perform many of their own original compositions. The group includes Dan Parker on bass, Keith Brooks on drums, and leader and primary composer/arranger Brad Macdonald on keyboard and vocals. All members of the band met at Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), where they formed a cohesive unit under the direction and guidance of Doug Beach. They have performed all over Chicago, as well as around the world, having brought music to places like Prague, Czech Republic, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Vancouver, Canada.
