Description

Summer Camps at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis will introduce the game of chess to new students, deepen the understanding of the game for established players, or offer intensive instruction for aspiring chess masters.  Grandmaster instructors and other qualified staff will walk students through algebraic notation, proper piece and board set-up, chess clock usage (timers), basic tactics (forks, skewers, pins, double attacks, double check, en passant, x-ray, etc.), positional chess, development, advanced strategy/tactics and endgame skills.
