Description

Derek Dahlke, tenor section leader at Second Presbyterian Church, presents a program for the Lenten season with organist Andrew Peters. The afternoon features hymns and songs appropriate to Lent, drawn from the Old and New Testaments and associated Bible readings. associated with this season are not limited to Christ's temptation in the wilderness and Ezekial’s ‘dry bones’. More than that, the lectionary prepares us for Easter by offering a history of God’s covenant and a portrait of salvation: from Noah, Abraham, and David to the prodigal son, Lazarus, and the woman at the well.Point of contact Andrew Peters 314.367.0366.
