Description

From colonial times to the present day, artists have shown us many different images of America – portraiture, Civil War camps, rural life, urban life, tributes to the working class and haunting visions of everyday life. This four-part series will feature the work of American artists including John Singleton Copley, Charles Willson Peale, Gilbert Stuart, Benjamin West, George Caleb Bingham, Winslow Homer, Thomas Hart Benton, Andrew Wyeth and Jacob Lawrence. 314-862-4859
