Description

For 15 years the Preparatory Program of the Community Music School of Webster University has trained the region’s most gifted teenaged musicians. Prep students are now graduates of America’s most prestigious colleges and conservatories. Alums are playing in professional orchestras and chamber ensembles, teaching at universities and schools, engaging in cultural diplomacy, giving Ted talks, and are Fullbright Scholars. The World Chess Hall of Fame presents an evening of chamber music and solos by present PREP students and alums. Featured will be Tchaikovsky’s sonically lush sextet, the Souvenir de Florence, and everything from Baroque trio sonatas to the rock inspired Fast Blue Village 2 of Elena Khats-Chernin.
