Seminal spoken-word collective, The Last Poets, return to St. Louis to headline the opening weekend of the "1968 Exhibit." Regarded as the godfathers of rap, alongside the late Gil Scott Heron, the Last Poets were founded on May 19, 1968, the birthday of slain Black Nationalist leader Malcolm X.
