The 21st annual National Dance Week (NDW) St. Louis is set to kick off on Saturday, April 28th, at Strauss Park, located at Washington and Grand in Grand Center.  The FREE outdoor event will begin at noon and will feature the 2018 NDW Honorary Dance Company, Consuming Kinetics Dance Company (CKDC).

NDW features a variety of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern disciplines, as well as Chinese, African, Middle Eastern, and Indian. And features over 50 dance troupes and hundreds of dancers including The Big Muddy Dance Company, MADCO 2, WU Dance Collective, Webster University Dance Ensemble, Ashleyliane Dance Company and Dances of India.

Food trucks will be one site for the event.

The Emcee for the event will be Keith Tyronne Williams, an arts educator, Keith serves as Chair of Theatre at Grand Center Arts Academy in St. Louis, MO.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Third Baptist Church at the corner of Washington and Grand using the Washington Street entrance.
