"Distruptive Continuity" Artist Talk and Exhibition by Martin Summers

The Creative Exchange Lab invites you to our artist talk and exhibition for Martin Summers' "Disruptive Continuity." In 2012, Summers founded PLUS-SUM Studio, which has won several awards from the International Design Awards, including "Architectural Design of the Year 2014." Summers has been recognized by the National AIA and has exhibited his work in Washington D.C as part of the Emerging Professionals Exhibition, as well as internationally in Korea and the Netherlands. The presentation will contextualize ongoing academic research that attempts to structure student workflows that parallel advanced professional workflows, where conceptual ideas and performance are understood within a rapid decision making process. Both professional and academic work will be shown to demonstrate this process and invite discussion.
