Kat Douglas & Sukanya Mani “Reflections”

Reflections, on display 11/3/17 through 12/30/17, is a group show by Kat Douglas and Sukyana Mani, both of whom are intrigued by how we express ourselves leading ultimately to communicating with others. Visual art is a language, after all, and the beginning of written communication was in the form of pictographs and visual codes. Each of these artists explore this concept from opposite ends of human history. Kat Douglas examines communication in a contemporary context while Sukyana Mani starts at the beginning of human mark-making. Each end of the spectrum has within it the limitations and nuanced subtle intimacies of the human psyche.
