Central West End Cocktail Party
Join us on the streets of the Central West End Scene (CWEscene) as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of what many have claimed as the first cocktail party on record held in 1917 by Mrs. Julius S. Walsh Jr. in her home at 4510 Lindell.
Enjoy live entertainment, a spirited cocktail competition and, of course, delicious food and drinks available for purchase from participating CWE bars and restaurants.
Participants include: Bar Italia STL, Dressel's Public House, Drunken Fish, El BURRO LOCO - central west end, Gamlin Whiskey House, Kingside Diner, Mary Ann's Tea Room, Mission Taco Joint - Central West End, Pi Pizzeria, The Preston, scape, Sub Zero Vodka Bar, Taste of Lebanon and The Tavern Kitchen & Bar.
Featuring music by Guerrilla Swing (5-8 p.m.), Gatsby Gang Jazz Band (5:30-7:30 p.m.) and Funky Butt Brass Band (8-10 p.m.), as well as performances by fire dancers and the St. Louis Jitterbugs. Dancakes will be available from 5-7 p.m. in our kids' zone.
Be sure to meet at the main stage (Euclid & McPherson) at 7:45 p.m. for a neighborhood toast!
This event, which will be held outdoors along Euclid Avenue between Maryland and McPherson, will be free and open to the public.
