Film Screening: Boom for Real (2017)

Subtitled The Late teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the documentary not only presents rare footage of the young artist, but tells a story of a new York City that may be unrecognizable to some. A part of the '70s scene, Director Sarah Driver worked collaboratively with such artists as Jim Jarmusch, Fab Five Freddy, Kenny Scharf, and Alexis Adler to tell this intimate story. This St. Louis premier is presented in partnership with St. Louis International Film Festival.
