The Power of Myth

The C. G. Jung Society of Saint Louis will be showing “Joseph Campbell and The Power of Myth with Bill Moyers,” Episode 4, Sacrifice and Bliss, originally aired on PBS in 1988, at the First Congregational Church, 6501 Wydown Blvd., Clayton, Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 pm.

Subjects discussed include Chief Seattle, the sacred earth, agricultural renewal, human sacrifice, the sacrifice of the Mass, transcendence of death, The Green Knight, following one’s bliss rather than societal dictates, and the “hidden hands” guiding life’s work.

No entrance fee. Donations accepted.
