Wednesday Night Jazz Crawl - Jacob Alspach & Friends

From Miles Davis and Willie Akins to Eric Slaughter and Ptah Williams, St. Louis has a living legacy of jazz. It pulses and flows through every bass note, a staccato heart beat riding across generations of red brick and river. Every Wednesday evening, the St. Louis community comes together for the Wednesday Night Jazz Crawl, live in Grand Center. Free, family-friendly, and open to jazz lovers of all ages, this weekly event celebrates the finest in jazz talent, and the venues that form the backbone of a St. Louis legacy.

Sponsored by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, The Wednesday Night Jazz Crawl helps continue the Foundation’s mission to establish the essential infrastructure necessary for the arts to thrive in the St. Louis community and bring the arts within reach for people of all ages and backgrounds.

5pm - 11pm | FREE | 6 venues

Jazz Happy Hour at Magnolia Café (5-7pm) - old-time jazz favorites with happy hour specials.

Kranzberg Jazz Jam hosted by Bob Deboo at the Kranzberg Arts Center (7-9pm) - one set of standards & originals from a unique trio (7-8pm) followed by a jam session open to all in attendance (8-9pm).

Curtain Call Jazz Sessions (6-8pm or 8-10pm) - two hour sessions with a rotating group of some of St. Louis’ favorite musicians, as well as national touring acts on occasion.

Wednesday Night Swing w/ Lindy Hop St. Louis in the Grand Hall at The Grandel (8:30-10pm) - kick up your heels at the weekly Wednesday Night Swing in the Grand Hall at The Grandel. Come with friends or make some new ones at this public dance social, no partner required!

Jazz Hang with the Kasimu Taylor Trio at The Dark Room at The Grandel (9-11pm) - trumpeter Kasimu Taylor & friends play an energetic set of originals and standards at The Dark Room at The Grandel.

Jazz at the Bistro Simulcast in Nancy’s Lounge (7:30pm & 9:30pm during scheduled shows) - when Jazz at The Bistro is in session, Nancy’s Lounge welcomes jazz crawl patrons to view the simulcast of both sets of the ticketed show.
