Roxane Gay, “Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body”

New York Times bestselling author Roxane Gay has written with intimacy and sensitivity about food and bodies, using her own emotional and psychological struggles as a means of exploring our shared anxieties over pleasure, consumption, appearance, and health. With the vulnerability and authority that have made her one of the most admired voices of her generation, Roxane explores what it means to be overweight in a time when the bigger you are, the less you are seen.

Ticket packages: Individual Ticket - $30 (admits ONE and includes one copy of “Hunger”) OR Package Ticket - $38 (admits TWO and includes one copy of “Hunger”). Tickets can be purchased through www.slcl.org or at Library Headquarters. (No refunds.)

The presentation will be followed by a book signing. Additional copies of Roxane Gay’s books will be available for purchase and signing from Left Bank Books.
