Shabez Jamal Artist Talk and Closing Reception

"A Free Space Between Intersections," celebrates queer Black men at the intersection of race and equality, contrasted against the backdrop of desertion and abandonment. The vibrant photographs are a means to claim space in the discussion about equality and bring black queer bodies into open spaces.

Join us on Saturday, February 24, 1:00-4:00pm to hear more about the creative process of artist Shabez Jamal as he created this series of joyful, personal photographs. Doors open at 1:00pm. Artist Talk begins at 1:30pm with question and answer and reception to follow.
