Project Homeless Connect St. Louis

May 15, 2018 - Project Homeless Connect St. Louis, a one-stop event to provide access to various health and human services for homeless residents or those who are on in danger of becoming homeless, will be held from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24th at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, in the J.C. Penny building.  People without a permanent residence or who are at risk of being homeless are encouraged to participate.

This is a free, non-partisan event where providers and community organizations offer direct access to information, resources and support in a variety of areas for those who are experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis County and St. Louis City. Attendees will complete a brief assessment form before being provided food and access to various services as well as information that will be crucial to helping them access services many desperately need.  A free gift bag will be provided to all participants, while supplies last.

Project Homeless Connect is the umbrella name for a nationwide push to bring attention to efforts to end homelessness.  St. Louis County Councilwoman Hazel Erby said, “The primary goal of Project Homeless Connect St. Louis is to complement the work of the Continuum of Care – a collective of service providers who work tirelessly on behalf of those who are unhoused or in danger of becoming homeless in St. Louis County and City. We are excited to bring this effort to the St. Louis area and hope that it leads to an even greater awareness of the needs of our neighbors and helps move the work of the Continuum of Care forward.”
