Vlach Village Dances from Northern Bulgaria: Dance Workshop and Culture Session

Neshka, Sashka, Petyo, Rumen, and Vicho will teach Vlach village dances from their homeland. They are recent arrivals from villages near the Danube, north of Vidin between Serbia and Romania. Sashka, Petyo, and Vicho danced with their village dance groups. Traditional dance music recorded in the villages will be used, played either by brass band or by village flute and drum.

The dance workshop will be from 1 to 4 in the afternoon, followed by a 1-hour culture session and a pot luck dinner.
