Introduction to Digital Photography

Introduction to Digital Photography

James Labonte

Saturday April 8, 2017 - 12:30pm to 3:30pm

Introduction to Digital Photography is the first class in a series of classes that take you from the essential basics that you need to master all the way to taking professional quality portraits.  In this first class you will learn all about the exposure triangle and how to "see" the light.  It is your first step to understanding exposure and getting you off of the full auto or "green square" setting on your camera.  All classes are hands on so bring your gear and be ready to learn.

BIO:

Hi!  My name is James Labonte and I will be your guide on your journey to becoming a better photographer.  I have been taking professional photographs for over 10 years and if it's one thing I have learned over the years is that we all have a desire to learn new things and to improve.

One way that I continue to educate myself is by teaching others.  By teaching others it forces me to stop and think about every little detail that goes into making a great photograph.  Many times I have an "a ha" moment when answering a student's question.  So I am learning right along with you...

I have been educated by some of the best in the industry, like Lindsay Adler, Scott Kelby, Joe McNally, Lou Freeman, Joel Grimes, James Schmelzer, Craig Lamere, and many more.  I belong to kelbyone.com which provides continuous online training, and attend many hands on seminars at Shutterfest annually.  I am constantly learning new techniques that I want to pass along to you...
