World Refugee Day: Amy Shrodes, Doug Moore & Ted Kemp

Left Bank Books and the International Institute of St. Louis present an event in honor of World Refugee Day with Amy Shrodes, author of "Lost and Found Cat"; Doug Moore, "St. Louis Post Dispatch" Refugee Resettlement Correspondent; and Ted Kemp, co-author of "The Ragged Edge."

Left Bank Books will also be collecting non-perishable food items, gently used clothing, and household supplies for donation to the International Institute, who will distribute them to refugees in the St. Louis area.

The United Nations' (UN) World Refugee Day is observed on June 20 each year. This event honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence.
