Concert at the Park: U. City Summer Concert Band

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a free concert on the grounds of Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site.

The UCity Summer Band presents family-friendly concerts, performing light classics, marches, patriotic music, show tunes, transcriptions, popular music, jazz, and original music for band. Over 90 volunteer musicians make up the complete roster of the UCity Summer Band with 60-70 performing at each concert. The band has been under the direction of Tom Poshak since 2003. During June and July they present outdoor evening concerts in University City. We are fortunate to have them perform at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site this summer.
