Singing with My Sisters

CHARIS – The St. Louis Women’s Chorus concludes its 25 th season with “Singing with our Sisters,” a
concert focused on the joy of song and the magic that happens when one voice becomes many. In honor
of this silver anniversary, CHARIS has commissioned a new piece of music by Elizabeth Alexander that
will debut at the May 4 th concert, and we will sing “Singing for Our Lives” with a virtual choir of singers
from GALA (Gay and Lesbian Association) choruses around the country. Musical selections for this
concert will include Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” the big-band classic “Sing, Sing, “Sing” and Stuart
Stotts’ touching “Music in My Mother’s House.”

This concert is presented in partnership with the Missouri History Museum. Financial assistance for
