The St. Louis Writers’ Group is dedicated to the development of the works of budding playwrights, screenwriters and writers of musical theatre.

We meet on the First and third Mondays of each month at Big Daddy's in Soulard to read and develop the work of local writers. There is no membership, all sessions are free and we welcome work at any stage of development from anybody.

Would you like to hear what your work sounds like, played by good actors? We can help.  Not sure if it's for you? Come and listen. Anybody is welcome to come and listen in or take part as much as they like.  See our website http://www.stlwritersgroup.com/ for details or just show up at Big Daddy's in Soulard at 6:30 on the First or Third Monday of the month

In pursuit of a dream, not many people would choose to leave their job and their home. Sean Coray decided to take a life changing leap. “I gave up my apartment, everything…I have so much less, but I’m a lot happier,” Coray says. With every song, he’s confronting all the doubt faced from his self and distractors.

“Find a Way” is Sean Coray’s third EP, a follow up to his 2016 release “Encinitas”. While that EP served as a reawakening of his music career, “Find a Way” shows the progression that Coray has made as a songwriter and artist, and that he continues to press forward and chase his dreams.

“This was a challenging collection of songs to make; my team pushed me every day to step outside of my comfort zone; I believe I did that with ‘Find a Way’”, he said.

Mixing his personal life with his love of creative storytelling, Sean Coray’s new EP still draws influences from rock, folk, soul and pop. To help develop his unique sound, he packed a bag and drove south to music city.

Recorded at Deaf Dog Studios and Pentavarit in Nashville, Sean Coray worked with Nashville producer and singer-songwriter, Randall Kent. Randall Kent has been at the helm and collaborated on records by Matt Hires (Rock Ridge Music), WILD (Nettwerk), and Volunteer. As a result, Sean Coray put together a creative and memorable collection of songs.

“It’s about not giving up,” Coray said of his new EP. “We must continue to push forward and get to where we want to be in life. We have our good days, and we have our bad days. Those who never quit, ultimately find their peace.”

"Find a Way" is coming December 8, 2017.

After receiving a beautiful replica of French artist Edgar Degas’ famous sculpture, The Little Dancer of 14 Years, for her birthday, our heroine Mary is transported back to the moment when the original was unveiled. Much to her surprise, it is ridiculed, prompting Degas to lock the sculpture in a closet never to be seen again! Mary rescues The Little Dancer, who comes to life, and together, they explore the streets and venues of Paris in this fanciful, newly imagined production. (60 minutes)

Join us for a delightful tea party with The Little Dancer performers, which begins immediately following the Sunday, 1:00PM performance.

Call the COCA Box Office for ticket availability at 314.561.4877.
