48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) returns to St. Louis June 1-3, 2012. The 48HFP is a wild event where teams of filmmakers from around St. Louis will spend just 48 hours writing, shooting, editing and scoring short fiction films in a race against the clock. Registration begins April 3.

It all starts with a required prop, character and line of dialogue announced at 7pm Friday night. By the end of a sleepless, adrenaline-filled weekend teams will walk away with a completed film and countless memories of a crazy weekend. Films will screen at the Tivoli Theatre the following week followed by a Best of St. Louis Screening June 14 where awards will be announced.

The winning film will screen in Los Angeles at the 2013 Filmapalooza event.

Registration begins April 3. To register, visit the St. Louis 48HFP page.

The competition is capped at 72 teams and does fill up quickly so register soon! Stay tuned for updates on upcoming meet-ups for filmmakers prior to the event.
