With a name that suggests B-movie horror films and a sound that combines shoe gaze and psychedelic rock, A Place to Bury Strangers comes blazing out of the fertile Brooklyn, New York scene.

Formed in 2003 by Tim Gregorio and Oliver Ackermann, the band flirts with space rock and noise, and has been called "New York's loudest band"; yet they manage to retain enough hooks to hum and nod along with, as displayed on APTBS's latest album, "Exploding Head."
