On Blame Sally's newest album, Speeding Ticket and a Valentine, you can easily find yourself rocking out to "Living Without You" one minute, grooving to a funky song like "Wide Open Spaces" the next minute, and then twanging out to "Big Big Bed."
Blame Sally's background gives the band a rich sound that's hard to categorize. Singer-songwriter Monica Pasqual is a classically trained pianist. Guitarist and bassist Renee Harcort has musical roots influenced by her jazz-pianist father. Jeri Jones, also a guitarist and bassist, played in country, funk and folk bands. Drummer Pam Delgado brings her love of pop music and her R&B vocals. She also adds a Latin edge in songs like "Parjaros Sin Alas." Blame Sally's complimentary styles and blend of genres keeps you captivated, so it's no surprise that the Speeding Ticket and a Valentine album debuted on the Billboard's Heatseekers chart of up-and-coming bands.
