Portland, Ore.'s Blind Pilot has been catching as much buzz as any neo-folk, indie band working today. Hear what you've been missing during the group's live session at KDHX.

Formed in 2005 as the guitar and drum duo of Israel Nebeker and Ryan Dobrowski, the band has built a following via a unique bicycle tour of the Pacific coast and choice opening slots for the Decemberists and the Hold Steady. But as the debut "3 Rounds and a Sound" makes clear, the band has a unique voice and a fetching lyrical approach to acoustic-based pop music. Their show at Off Broadway on August 11, 2009 wound up a sell-out, so here's hoping they'll be back to St. Louis soon.
