The son of one of Nashville's greats, Bare Jr. has forged his own path in music, first as a hell-bent, metal-influenced rocker, then as a frequently unplugged satirical songwriter, somewhere between John Prine and Frank Black (Bobby even performs in a Pixies cover band).
For this Live at KDHX session, Bare Jr. plays solo, just his unorthodox voice, a tapping tambourine, a beat-up Gibson guitar and three songs about coming to terms with choices, good and bad, all sung with a dark, desperate honesty.
