At the age of just 25, Long has already been compared to everyone from Cash to Dylan to Petty to even a forlorn G. Love and Special Sauce. In 2005, the songwriter moved from the country to London seeking a degree from the Metropolitan University. Once there, his open microphone performances won him regular gigs, and soon, after meeting a budding Robert Pattinson (Edward from Twilight), Long penned "Let Me Sign," which Pattinson sang in the vampy blockbuster. After 5 years of steady touring and largely self-produced recordings, Long joined Dave Matthews' ATO record label. A Winter Tale, his first proper studio album, was released in February 2011.
