California Guitar Trio: Live at KDHX 3/17/11 by KDHX

Founded in 1991, the band of guitarists -- featuring Paul Richards, Bert Lams and Hideyo Moriya -- approach a myriad of complex, original songs and rock standards with the attentiveness of seasoned jazzmen and the recklessness of dyed-in-the-wool rockers. Alex Henderson describes the band's 2010 album Andromeda as "instrumental progressive rock that incorporates elements of everything from surf rock to folk to jazz to Euro-classical to Spanish flamenco" a fitting thumbnail portrait -- though ultimately only a sketch of what this visionary band can do.
