Hines, along with vocalist Sasha Masakowski, drummer Paul Thibodeaux, bassist Jasen Weaver and pianist Andrew McGowan, graduated from NOCCA, whose list of grads includes Harry Connick, Jr., the Marsalis brothers and Trombone Shorty.

The band's second album "Wanderlust" was released in January 2013 and it includes Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian and Spanish influences. Throw in Middle Eastern and Indian dialects, swing, hip-hop, rock and electronica and you have a gumbo that sounds as diverse as a New Orleans itself.

However, like many jazz artists, Hines is moving forward. The songs in the set here are new but carry on the same dizzying swirls of diversity and experimentation as earlier recordings in an acoustic setting with electronic overtones.
