So many musical strains come together in the songs of Cree Rider – honky tonk, cajun, blues and, of course, rock 'n' roll – it's easy to get lost in the sound. But his stories are always sure guides.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Rider has spent the better part of the last decade on both the west and east coast, but recently has returned to his home. St. Louis, with its confluence of musical traditions, its melding of the big city and the small town, should suit Rider's future musical endeavors. With lyrics that comment satirically on contemporary fashions and connect with simple truths, he knows that as hard as love and luck can be there's always time to celebrate life with a good country shuffle you can dance to.

Rider often performs with a group known as the Cree Rider Family Band, but for this special session he is accompanied only by Cheryl Wilson.
