Ever since Bill Monroe invented bluegrass some 65 years ago, the genre has undergone many changes, but contemporary bands like Curreykorn are still fully in touch with the original sound.

Led by the crystal-clear vocals and excellent fiddling (check out the break on "Jerusalem Ridge") of Sadie Caroline, this family band from Columbia, Mo. features mom and dad David and Nancy Currey along with as many as five of their children playing a mix of contemporary and traditional songs, with an emphasis on gospel and classic old-time fiddling.
