Best known as a guitar slinger for the band Mofro, Daryl Hance has recently lit out for solo territory, with blues and groove tightly in tow.

Drawing on the swampy blues sound of his native Jacksonville, Florida, Hance conjures everyone from Tony Joe White to Robert Cray. For this Live at KDHX session he leads his lean trio through a spooky, smoldering set of four originals -- including a chilling take on "Through the Trees," a song that can be found on his 2011 release "Hallowed Ground."
