Guitarist Dave Black massages his instrument’s strings into soothing music that teases the imagination into desiring an encore. His sound brings out the colors of emotions through jazz and much more.

The St. Louis native has collaborated with artists in wide range of styles: blues, bluegrass, rock, country, folk, pop, latin and his home genre of jazz. As a freelancer he is fully capable of building such a diverse repertoire. This same repertoire is shared with students at Webster University where Black is an adjunct professor of Jazz Guitar and many other music-related courses.

Black can be found performing all across the Midwest, but when performing in the Greater St. Louis region he can be found at various venues located in the Delmar Loop, The Hill, Central West End, Midtown and other parts of the metro area. Dave performs both solo and with a number of combos, including his current band Bridge.

Dave Black and Friends will be performing at the Sheldon Concert Hall on January 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
