Along this musical journey the listener will be blown away by an eclectic sound that evokes good ol' modern times of gambling, drinking, shooting, smoking and tearing your heart out, all set to the sound of soul, blues and boogie -- plus lots of New Orleans-styled jazz stomp, womp and roll. Davina and the Vagabonds sound is so fresh to the ear and the heart that you could call it (re)evolution. The band is clearly redefining the blues for the 21st century.
Davina and the Vagabonds may only have one full-length LP under their belts, but they have a a history of putting on over 300 shows a year. According to their official website, "Davina and The Vagabonds are known in the Twin Cities, Minnesota as being the busiest band in town because of their hard-working professionalism, high energy stage performance, and original sound." The band's Live at KDHX performance is sure to please any listener with even a passing interest in soul and blues.
