With a cache of real-time samplers, effects processors and analog radio gear, Hall bends, twists, and reshapes field recordings in a mind-melting but often beautifully fractured spectrum of sound. His vision is a kind of sonic Cubism, where different aural moments are layered in space and time to create complex, multidimensional portraits.
