The quartet mixes folksy, poetic vocals (a la Bob Dylan) with a hungry rock aura reminiscent of the Violent Femmes. From an early age, Ezra Furman dreamt of reaching out to others through song. Together with bassist Job Mukkada, drummer Adam Abrutyn, and Andrew Langer on guitar, the singer creates music about life -- the silly, the sad, the beauty and despair of the human experience. Inside the Human Body, the group's latest album, was released in 2008; their next album is due out in 2010. In the meantime, Ezra and the Harpoons are on tour, and they appeared in St. Louis at the Firebird on November 19, 2009.
