With elements reminiscent of grunge, such as crunchy guitars rhythmically strumming over energetic 4/4 beats and angsty vocals conveyed through primal bellows, can Glass Teeth live up to its "cream of the current local hardcore crop in St. Louis" title?

Though the contemporary addition of a synth may seem incongruous with the stylistically  heavy aspects of last decade's hardcore, Glass Teeth not only reconciles them but makes them work well. Bringing the hectic force of their live shows (where frontman Jeff Robtoy intentionally attempts to make the audience uncomfortable by roaming among them and occasionally commandeering their phones) into the Magnolia Avenue studio, the band showcased their singular brand of St. Louis hardcore.
