Led by guitarist Chappy Hull and drummer Tyler Coburn, Gnarwhal pummels and punishes its quick, frenzied, angst-loaded but sometimes surprisingly melodic (just listen to "Perfect Nipple Placement") songs into listeners' skulls and perhaps -- if they're open to the experience -- their hearts as well.
