Give a man a guitar and he will play you a song. Give Hayes Carll a guitar and he will bare his soul in a raw and honest way that few musicians can match.

After earning a degree in History from Hendrix College in Arkansas, singer-songwriter Hayes Carll returned to his native Texas and began playing the guitar, speaking his truths as seen through the bottom of a whisky glass to anyone who would listen. After signing with Lost Highway Records in 2008 he began to tour the country, continuing to write songs based on the characters he saw in his everyday life. Carll's songs cut through the mental clutter and expose the root of the matter, whether it's the unrequited love at the core of "She Left Me for Jesus" or the reckless live-life-like-you-mean-it attitude of "Wild as a Turkey."
