Based out of his hometown of Boston, Jesse Dee's musical career started early in his life. First inspired the oldies soul and R&B on the local radio, Dee began crafting songs during his mid-teen years, soon fronting a band of his own as a vocalist.

At age 18, he added the guitar to his art and began performing as a solo artist a year later. He spent his college years at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he was a student of art in all forms and began touring the East Coast with a number of groups.

With a true love for the classic sounds of soul, Jesse Dee is forever exploring the depths of the genre in its golden era and adapting the essence of the music for today's audiences with a modern perspective. As a student of arts in all form, he uses a layered and deliberate process in his songs, refining each song again and again with new elements to highlight and harmonize until each work is a masterpiece.

Complementing his compositions with a potent live show, Dee has received much acclaim since his 2008 debut album "Bittersweet Batch." Armed with a much anticipated, sophomore album, Jesse Dee brings his band and their current sound, including two songs from "On My Mind / In My Heart," to the KDHX studios.
