Though he can tear up a juke joint every time he plugs in his Stratocaster, the true power and subtlety of Lloyd Jones' blues shines through when he's sitting down with just a microphone and an acoustic guitar.

With a career of over 30 years in the blues, the Portland, Ore. native is recognized as one of the true keepers of the flame. He's worked with the likes of Delbert Clinton, Tommy Castro and Curtis Salgado, and has had his songs recorded by everyone from Gatemouth Brown to Coco Montoya. His guitar-playing is truly exceptional -- funky and fast and always surprising -- and his feel for how to translate that technique into emotion shines through, whether he's working up warhorses like "When I'm Gone" and "Statesboro Blues" or the lesser-known (and quite witty) tune "I'll Be Your Anything."
